Michael Low is an AI transformation strategist, educator, author and consultant with more than two decades of experience spanning education, workforce development, organisational transformation and technology. His work sits at the intersection of AI, human capability and organisational change, helping organisations move beyond AI experimentation to redesign how people learn, work and make decisions alongside intelligent systems. He is the creator of the S.E.N.S.E. framework, a practical approach to responsible and human-centred AI adoption, and his central interest is a deceptively simple question: as AI becomes more capable, what capabilities must humans and organisations deliberately strengthen?

At SMU Academy, Singapore Management University, he served as Deputy Director of Curriculum Development & Digitalisation and Head of Finance & Technology Programmes from 2016 to 2025, leading a portfolio that came to account for half of SMU Academy's revenue. He led Singapore's first national AI Prompt Design Challenges for youth and SMEs in 2025, in partnership with IMDA, ASME and the AI Verify Foundation, and led a Recognition of Prior Learning pilot with SkillsFuture Singapore, developing an evidence-based framework for scaling workplace-acquired competency recognition. He went on to serve as Deputy Director of SITLEARN and the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Training at the Singapore Institute of Technology, leading the design and scaling of applied AI, digital transformation and workforce capability programmes for working professionals and enterprises.

Earlier in his career he held leadership and strategy roles across Singapore Government agencies, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade & Industry, CCCS, A*STAR and the State Courts, contributing to national curriculum reform and pedagogical innovation and conceptualising the Singapore Judicial College. He currently serves as Advisor to the Technopreneurship Programme at the School of Science & Technology, Advisor to the Training and Education Chapter of the Association of Advertising & Marketing Singapore, Chairman of the Academic Council at the Risk and Insurance Management Association of Singapore, and a Strategy Team Member at the Singapore Positive Education Network.

He is the author of Making S.E.N.S.E. of AI for SMEs: A Practical Playbook for Growth and Competitiveness (2025) and Making S.E.N.S.E.: The End of Human Intelligence Dominance As We Know It (2026), and has co-authored white papers with Stanford University, Lagos Business School and the Global Finance & Technology Network. He has spoken and moderated panels at international forums including the Singapore FinTech Festival, the 3i Africa Summit, the Japan Fintech Festival, the Elevandi Insights Forum, the Inclusive Fintech Forum and ICAN, alongside leaders from Google ecosystem partners, global banks, regulators and industry bodies.
