Section 02: What Your Score Means

This is a self-report instrument, twenty scenario-based items across five dimensions, a format common to workplace and leadership assessments. Treat your archetype and score as a structured hypothesis to test against feedback from colleagues, not a certified diagnosis.

Section 03: Your Development Plan & Methodology

What each dimension measures, and what to do next

Each question is scored 1 to 4 by how proactively it describes your instinct; the dimension score is the sum across its four questions. Status below reflects the dimension's score as a share of its own maximum: under 40% is emerging, 40–70% is developing, above 70% is established. Your lowest-scoring dimension is listed first in your priority action above since that's where a certificate will help you most.

Your Development Plan · Next 14 Days

01  Technical Fluency · The Architect

Definition — Whether you can independently evaluate AI capability and risk, or depend entirely on others to tell you what to believe about a technology decision.

Why it matters — A CAIO who can't independently read a vendor's claims or a team's design choices is dependent on whoever spoke last in the room, on precisely the decisions the role exists to own.

Certification Generative AI Leader certificate (Google Cloud)

02  Strategic Vision · The Strategist

Definition — Whether you connect AI to business strategy and competitive position, or think about it one tool and one pilot at a time.

Why it matters — A portfolio of disconnected pilots reads as activity, not strategy, and it is the first thing a search committee or a board tests for.

Certification Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy (MIT Sloan Executive Education)

    03  Risk & Governance · The Guardian

Definition — Whether you build governance and risk controls proactively, or only react once something has already gone wrong.

Why it matters — Governance written after an incident is a post-mortem, not a control. The value of this dimension is entirely in the work done before anything breaks.

Certification AI Governance Professional (AIGP) (IAPP)

04  Change Leadership · The Catalyst

Definition — Whether you can bring a sceptical, anxious workforce along with a change, or rely on a mandate from the top to force adoption.

Why it matters — Deployments survive contact with a sceptical workforce or they don't. A mandate gets short-term compliance; it does not get the honest feedback a deployment needs to actually work.

    Certification Change Management Certification (Prosci)

05  Commercial Acumen · The Operator

Definition — Whether you tie AI investment to numbers the CFO trusts, or measure success by enthusiasm rather than business impact.

Why it matters — Enthusiasm doesn't survive a budget review. A CAIO who can't produce a number the CFO trusts loses the argument for the next deployment before it starts.

Certification Artificial Intelligence for Business (Wharton Online)

    Disclaimer

This report is a self-assessment based on how you rated your own instincts on the live tool, not an independent audit or a certified diagnosis. It is a starting point to test against what colleagues actually think of you, not gospel. A suggested retake is every six to twelve months, or after a focused development sprint on your lowest-scoring dimension, to track directional progress. Your answers were passed to this page through the page address and were not reviewed, stored, or transmitted to Praxora Lab or any third party.
